The LoRa-Log-Vape system, using LoRaWAN communication technology, is designed for detecting "vaping" and cigarette smoke. Sensors capture environmental parameters and, upon detecting an event, send a notification to the LoRaWAN receiver (gateway). Converter PD8 is designed for data transfer from devices with RS-485 port to Ethernet network. The device comes in two versions. First version is used with network service Real Port. In this case, the Master role is taken by PC with installed software, creating a parallel port. Software (i.e. Lumel Energy) ensures data transfer between devices with RS-485 port and one PC.
Second version (parallel bridge with UDP protocol) enables the sextension of data transfer system using additional PD8 converters and local Ethernet network. Variant with two converters or one with many (max. 65) converts is available.
